About Me – Jeff
What You Should Know First:
Investment banker by trade. Artist at heart. I saved a cat from burning building .. joking, I might not be a superhero or burst into a song, but I love dancing, playing keyboard & broadway musical 🙂
While not working and not shooting, you will find me cooking way too much food for friends and constantly struggling to turn down ice cream, especially Haagen-Daze
I’m curious what your guilty pleasure is?
My journey began in an unexpected moment of stillness — the pandemic.
Like many others, I found myself confined within the walls of my apartment, searching for connection and meaning in a world that suddenly felt so distant. With little else to do, I picked up my iPhone and began taking photos and videos, sharing them on social media as a way to stay close to family and friends. What started as a simple pastime quickly became something more — I discovered a joy, almost a calling, in capturing life through the lens.
In May of 2024, curiosity and the creative limits of my phone pushed me to purchase my very first camera, a Canon. Holding that camera opened a new world of possibility. I was no longer just documenting moments — I was shaping them, telling stories, and learning how light, color, and emotion could transform an image into something timeless.
TURNING POINT
FOUND MY PURPOSE
.But the true turning point in my path came later that same year. On December 1st, my mom became very ill. Over the next seven months, I spent countless hours with her in ERs and hospitals. Those long days taught me more about love, fragility, and memory than I ever expected. And in those moments, one thought weighed on me heavily: I hadn’t taken enough photos & videos of our time together. I longed for images that could live beyond the screens, portraits I could place on my wall and see every day — constant reminders of her strength, her love, and the moments we shared.
That realization shaped the heart of my work today. Photography & videography, for me, is no longer just about taking pictures & getting the shots — it’s about creating lasting art that holds meaning. I believe portraits belong not only in albums or hard drives but on the walls of our homes, where they become part of our daily lives, reminding us of what truly matters.
This is why I founded de J ARTS – Wall Portrait Photography service.
Each portrait session is crafted with intention, artistry, and care — blending fine-art creativity with personal storytelling. My goal is to help families, couples, and individuals preserve their most important chapters in a way that feels both luxurious and deeply meaningful.
Because when the years pass, and moments turn into memories, what remains is the art we choose to keep close. A portrait on your wall is more than a photograph — it’s a legacy, a celebration, and a reminder of love that endures.
